The $1 denomination (like yours) is listed in Ferguson's IA Trade Tokens book as R-3 (15-30 known, $2 to $3.50 in 1984), but unfortunately with no history of the business given. Hopefully, Gary Henderson's new IA book will have some history when it comes out.

The Big Store is listed in the 1918 Dun in Silver City. It does not appear , at least by that name, in the 1912 Bradstreet or 1928 Dun.
