Silver Dimes, Silver Rings, and a Lead Toy Soldier

Today I hunted a very small town in northern California that has a population of about 3,000. It has an elementary school with a large double baseball field. When I started hunted there were clad coins everywhere, so that told me it has not been hunted much. After 7-1/2 hours worth of hunting I dug out 143 coins, within that total was 1 merc dime (1916), one rosie dime (1961), 2 silver rings, and a toy lead soldier. The tot lot had a nice silver pendant! Not sure why I only dug only one wheat penny. Total clad dug added up to $14.53...gas money.

Nice finds. Why is that buckle frame in your junk pile? It's a nice piece of old horse tack. Funny I found a dog clasp the other day in an almost identical state to yours.

Whew! 7+ hours!!... I get you was a tired boy going home! Keep digging those ‘16 Mercs, eventually you will score huge. I’ve found two of three myself, all P mints.. And keep digging those pull tabs, eventually one of those will come out gold. Congrats on a big day, thx for sharing, Ddf.
