Silver Discrimination

I've been detecting like a mad dog for a year now, and I think that I have the silver discriminator turned on. How do you turn that thing off?

Put a silver coin on the ground and see if you can get it to hit.
Don`t know about a silver discriminator my garrett dosen`t have one.
how high are you running your disc.?
If your machine will hit a reg.Quarter it will pick up silver
Try reading your owners manual,and turn off the cell phone.

I was being funny. I'm just frustrated that after one year, and a whole bunch of coins and "other stuff", not one silver coin.

You might not have run the coil over a silver coin yet. Be sure to over lap sweeps 50% as the coils field is lots smaller at depth and you could easiely miss a coin. Hunt where most don't go. Those bushes might not have been there years ago.

Try researching some older properties in your area with older maps. You may just be hitting sites that are to new or maybe hunted over & over by others. Think outside the box for new sites ( Old farm houses, Old cellar holes & ghost towns) also here is a link that many here use to see what our past looks like ...this will help turn off the silver doom switch!

You have to dig all the signals in the high 70's, and 80's.
