Today I went to the bank and picked up 86$ in customer wrapped rolls. While I was going through them I found a war nickel ender, first ender of the year. Wahoooo! Out of the 86$ in nickels the total haul was 2 war nickels, 1938, 1939, 3 1941's, 2 pennies and a dime. Overall a great hunt with 2 silvers. HH

Awesome! I enjoy searching nickels when I have the time.

Thanks, hope you find some treasure in your future hunt's.

Nice! I have a love-hate relationship with nickels.

I love searching small lots, like $50 and under. When I don't have the bankroll to buy halves or even dimes, I'll go out on my lunch breaks to buy small lots of nickels and search them in my car so that I can dump them at the next bank to buy more. Then I'll search those, dump at a different bank, get more, search, etc. It's a good way to make money on overages at the coin machines, and suck up any silver left behind in the reject trays.

I hate searching boxes of nickels, takes too freakin' long.

I seem to always find more in cwr than mwr. Last year I found 12 buffalo nickels out of 80$ cwr, which was the best nickel haul of the year. HH
