Two days ago Cru'Dad scouted around for land. There are lots of options opening up, but this one came to the top. Mostly because, after speaking with the farmer the field will soon be off limits & under construction. Therefore, last chances to save some goodies.
In 2.5 hours he had 5 scrappies, 17th C Token & odds & ends...
So today after work we did a 4 hour loose grid & to our surprise got a hammered each - first ever from this field. After 1.5 hours & 4 silver we were on cloud nine, just waiting for the Roman silver to top it off - but then it just died. Hotspot over....

2 Scrappies (Found today), 5 two days ago.
3 Lead Tokens
17th C Token
Nice James I Lead Cloth Seal - Rare that we can date these!8-)
Broken Medieval Spur Rowel
1911 Newmarket Private Stand Badge for Horse Racing, cost £5 at the time.
Unusual 18th C Pipe Tamper in the shape of a Horse Leg!
1697 Sixpence
1878 Sixpence
Lizzy clipped Sixpence
Ed I Penny

Two hammereds, a milled(?) and a modern Silver and the other finds. What more to expect from a summer evening? :occasion14:

Don't tell me that they are putting in
another parking lot.
Congrats on a fabulous hunt.

Great hunt as usual. Congrats

Well done! Some impressive finds there.

Willie, Vicky, Lizzy, and Eddy...and all silver! Cool cloth seal too.

Wow! You tore it up, awesome silvers!

Fantastic assortment of old silver across different monarchs in history--I'd call that a great hunt! Love the horse leg pipe tamper too.

Congrats,

Buck

Congratulations on the silver finds. Too bad there's a time limit on the site.

Excellent finds Cru and Cru'dad. I especially like that William SixPence. It's a tangible item for my side of the pond, and a Colonial British silver is at the top of my list. I know the chances are slim due to the ban of silver in the colonies...

Anyway, great show!

Congrats on some great finds, I sure enjoy seeing those old finds

Great finds Crusader. That pipe tamper is super neat.

The pipe tamper is really sweet!

Some nice unique finds there. Love the tamper and the lead seal, and of course the silver ....

2 Scrappies added to top.

Excellent silver coin finds, very cool buttons and other relics! :occasion14:
