Good find! I have found Barber, Walking Liberty and Kennedy halves, but never a Franklin.

WOW! Extreme closeup!! Where did you find it? Pocket change or detecting or coin store? :icon_scratch:

Very nice find, love the patina on this coin! :icon_thumright:

Found this where an old log cabin was. I was told the cabin was there in the late 1800's I am going back there in the morning

Is this the same half you found and posted on Feb 13th?

Nice Big Silver !
regardless of the exact day ;D
With the obligations of working & other neccessities,
THEN hunting, cleaning, photographing, editing, it is often difficult to post finds in the same period of daylight they were dug. ::)
Keep on Diggin !

Everybody likes BEN ! Nice find !! MaineRelic

Nice! Don't see to many Franklin's found.

Brian

That almost looks like a proof coin to me that somehow ended up in circulation for some time...the S mintmark on the back would indicate. Sweet find either way.

Great dig! Not an everyday find for sure. :icon_thumright:

Keep diggin'!! Happy Hunting.
