Based on its silver composition and the size you have indicated, it would appear to be a crown of William III.

You are kidding, right? You found a 1696 Crown :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

Worth at least £500 :icon_thumright:

If you say you found this detecting, I'm voting banner. I have never had a crown earlier than 1900!

I vote Banner 300+yrs old has to be NICE find

Its not so much the age its the type. A crown is HUGE in size & a massive amount of money back then, if you dropped it, you would take your toes off!
