Looks like a lid off of of something it's about 6x3 inches. Found it metal detecting an old street they recently tore up..

That flaking on the back worries me a bit. The front looks right.

If you rub the back with your finger, and some wet baking soda, and that flaking comes off, and it shines, then yes, it is the real deal.
