Went MDing a different beach for a change (rather than my stone covered beach w black sand) and found some change and a nice sterling woman’s wedding ring marked .925.

Silver ring find 033116.webp

My coin count for the year now stands at 1,362 and with 2 gold rings and 1 platinum ring (considered gold). This gives me a gold:coin ratio of 1:454, aauuuuuu. Don’t know where gold is this year – my ratio usually ranges from 1:200 – 1:250. Have found numerous sterling, stainless steel and titanium wedding rings…should be 2-3 more gold rings out there with my name on them!

Found the silver wedding ring by chance in 3 ft of water. I detected a good target to dig and when I set my detector off to the side to dig the target my detector went off signaling another find. The original target turned-out to be a dime. The target I happened upon was the silver ring. Boy, I love when that happens! Now I have to go out and find my missing gold rings.

A nice chunky looking silver! Not sure what my ratio is but I maybe at 300 coins for the year.

Got the same problem here. No gold, a few silver and tons of clad.

me too!
found 2 silver rings

never yet a silver coin or anything gold

My coin count is 1500 3 gold , five stainless steel 2 titanium 4 silvers last month had no gold

Tungsten, stainless steel, and titanium are becoming more and more popular ever since gold went above $1000 an ounce. I also think that with the higher prices people are being a little more cautious. It's also early in the year; see how your ratio looks toward the end of summer. No matter, there is still lots being lost, every day, so keep it up and the gold will come!

don't worry, the gold will follow, soon...!
Like was said before me, too early in the year, better weather will bring more of that "stuff" to the beach.
Took me two years, before I broke my gold drought...!

That's a great looking silver ring, Lawrence, and nice post about the way you found it!:hello2:

Keep 'em comin'!
