Out in Plano TX to visit family, got luck and found this nice little James Avery ring in a park field. This TX clay is waaaay worse than our GA red clay to dig into. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1496623020.083805.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1496623033.622386.webp

Very nice find ! Avery is good stuff - I've found a couple of them , one like yours - another a ring in the form of a square knot .

Sweet Silver Ring - Congrats!!:headbang:

Texas gumbo is something that would be difficult for most people to believe until they've actually dug it. Sticky as all get out and then in a dry spell turns into porcelain!

Ha! Its wet right now, come back when its dry - and bring a jackhammer.

Cool ring !!! Yep, our Ga. Clay is some of the best on the planet.....

Very nice looking ring.

nothing like walking across the wet gumbo mud and getting taller and taller as you walked! then you kicked off 10 pounds of mud and did it again. sweet silver ring

That's a chunky one! Congrats!:headbang:

Absolutely love that ring. I had to backtrack from your latest recovery. Hmmm?

That black North Texas clay is hard as a rock when dry and sticks to everything when wet. I hated digging in that stuff when I lived in Dallas.
