Got this silver ring at the lake, the stones test as real diamonds. What, has gold got so expensive they are using diamonds in silver now?

Not so unusual. As a jewelry horse, I can tell you that MANY women prefer silver jewelry because it goes perfectly with your white gold and platinum pieces. As opposed to yellow gold jewelry that really only looks good with more yellow gold. Awesome find btw. I'm jealous.

Thanks for the replys and comments, this is the second silver ring with real diamonds. Here's the other with 4 tiny diamonds. I don't have a clue what the blue stone is. These are the only silver ring I've ever found with real stones.

as a matter of fact, yes. that is a ring sold by walmart and they are genuine diamonds. because of the sky-rocketing price of gold, many retailers are now selling silver rings that contain genuine stones because silver is more affordable to the average person
