I just picked this up. Boy I didn't expect them to be sterling being priced at 45 bucks + tax. It's a service for six, but it's missing one small spoon. It says NSC Sterling and looking on 925/1000.com I do see this same pattern listed under the National Silver Co.,so I assume that's the maker? I'll weigh everything but the knives tomorrow. I'm pretty sure paid under scrap on just the solid pieces on this score.

I'd say so, you've easily got at least 400 grams just for the solid pieces.

Wow, just awesome...great buy!

Awesome. The forks alone are worth more than what you paid. Like 4 of them. Nice score!

They must not have flip them over to check the back because they’re all hogtied in the holder. What an odd way to put them away?slide them all in their places and then tie them down with twine to keep them in there! Haha. Awesome! I want one!!

Maybe so, they just failed to investigate these any further. Yeah they were tied up pretty good.

Just the spoons & forks alone come in at 603 grams, so yes this is my favorite way to invest in silver. Actual value of spot silver not including the knives is just over 300 bucks. I'm not sure what's missing in the one spot as I do have 6 of the small spoons. There's just one odd smaller size soup spoon. So this is a nice set of 6 butter knives, 6 dinner forks, 6 dinner spoons and 6 of the same soup spoons.

Nice score tamrock!!!!!

That would be referred to as a sugar spoon. Nice finds. Still hunting a set myself. https://www.replacements.com/p/national-silver-co-no-1-sterling-1925-sugar-spoon/ntsno1/4861361
Thanks Digg's. That be it. Replacements doesn't really have a whole lot of stock I see for this pattern. I wonder what I could add to the missing spot? Tongs maybe or some specialty fork? They are monogrammed and I've never seen this before, but the engraved monogram is filled with black enamel. I think the engraving has kind of a McIntosh design. Sort of Arts and Craft era IMO.
