Went out this past weekend on two hunts. Saturday morning for 4 hrs and found two silver pieces, a tiny silver .925 neclace with 2 pendants that are also .925. Total weight 2.4g . "I thought it was a fishing leader at first, then at home I realized it was silver". The next was a beautiful Silver pendant with an Amethyst in it "my favorite piece".
Sunday my wife found her first GOLD

it was a 14k ring at 2.7g. She trolls the boards daily, so give her props. I also found 2 rings one junk and the other was .925 silver moons and stars at 2.5g the silver is dirty I put it through electrophoressis for 15-20 min to get the crusty stuff off of it. Now the ring and chain needs to be polished.
There was also a fair quanity of coins that we found last weekend. One was a gold dollar.
I have a question for the more advanced hunters? I found a nickel that is wafer thin compared to others about one sixth the thickness and still has the memorial and head present on either sides. I have never seen one like it could it be silver that has evenly dissipated?
For those who wonder, I rarely post pics of all of the trash that we find but trust me there is a lot to get this amount of good stuff.
