I had only found 1 silver coin this month. The old 1800's sites don't seem to pop out silver like the 1900's sites. Decided to to hit a 1900's site that has given up more than a dozen silver coins this year, but I have hammered this site and it has slowed way down. After half an hour only one wheat, then a to good to be true high tone in the matted down long grass. Thought beer can top, but the signal was really nice and tight, so I dug it. Awesome feeling when your hunch (hope) is realized and you see a familiar rim. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1503942619.344593.webp

Silver to wheat ratio 34:117 FTY.
Thanks for looking and good luck out there!

Dang! That's an amazing find!!!

Beautiful. Hunted my heart out yesterday with only cooper and one sorry 65 clad quarter, well and a nice brass capgun. Congratulations.

It's a real thrill to see big silver in the hole!

Oh man that's killer!

Nice job. Crazy that signal wasn't heard prior to the last hunt!

Well done sir! That one has a lot of meat on it. Most of the Walkers are well worn.

Congrats on scoring a big beauty!

Thx! This site is about 6 acres. I have found concentrations of silver coins in 3 small areas, but wheats throughout the 6 acres. I typically have about 45 minutes to hunt so I go in with a plan of hitting just one area. Today's keeper was at the edge of a field I must have swung over at least a couple times this year and never found silver in this area. I'm thinking the grass got so long that it finally is laying down and this allowed the signal to reach the coin or I just missed it in the past...

TREASURE!
If you're shootin' in a public place and found a half, odds are there are plenty of dimes still to be found.
grats on that beauty!

Thx! I'm going back soon and will try sweeping low and slow to see if there are any squeekers remaining in this area.
