Hello everyone!
It was a little warmer then i thought and the ground didn't freeze so i went out to finish the area where i found the 1876 seated dime. I got a nice hit close by and saw a medallion and decided to wash it off later. Then i got a nice hit and i thought it was a clad dime. I was constantly fighting the water that kept filling the hole but my vibraprobe beeped and plunged my hand into the cold water and grasped area. I saw a silver disk and realized it was my first barber dime to complete my barber set (i got the quarter and the half). I got home and washed the items off and i saw that the dime was a beautiful 1906 D with lots of tarnish. Then i washed the medallion off and saw Luther's Seal. I go it into good light and read around the edge "God's word and Luther's doctrine pure shall now and evermore endure" which surrounded the seal. On the back was Luther's image with the words "400th anniversary Martin Luther's Catechism 1529-1929" surrounding it. Very cool find 8) My theory is that Sunday school or kids hung around the big tree for shade and in the process lost some stuff. Well, let the pics do the talking.
Both of them together
