I'd say it's a three-initial monogram pin. Or a monogram decorative ornament, for affixing to something.

It's awesome either way. Did you find it in an older area?

Yes, area that was early French settlement in Louisiana

Looks like there was a hinge at the top a ladies buckle to something cool relic silver is always good

This is part of a Victorian Period ladies sash buckle.
Your find is also stamped 'Sterling' silver. :thumbsup:
