Today I spent most of my hunt in a wooded area on the outside of a cemetery fence. I wasnt sure what to expect but I found a nice variety of targets.

The octagon shaped tokens are my favorite type to find, I got 2 this year so far.

You're on a roll MH. Cool tokens, pendants and silvers. I like the old watch best, are you able to get a mfg stamp from it? Congrats!

Great digs and interesting site choice. That token is near!

Unfortunately I see no hint of a MFG. The under cover has no visible details.

Some history:
Hite's Friendly Drug Store was founded in ~1896 by Joseph R. Hite; later joined by his two sons, Ralph and Wallace. Hite moved from the address on your token to another address in 1912. An article appearing in a 1942 newspaper gives the history of the company and its products. You can read it here:

I assumed 2 1/2 Cents made it older than the 5 cents version. Thanks for confirming that for me with your research.

Mr. Hite's Philosophy (and perhaps the source of the word 'friendly'): " [FONT=&quot]WE have always considered our drug store as a servant of the community just as pleased to sell you a postage stamp as any other article in our store and have always found time to say "Hello" in all we have tried to be a friendly, a neighborly efficient drug store and we intend to continue this practice." JOSEPH R. HITE.
