I wish you the best with your new detector.

Nice MD choice.

Funny thing is....originally looked at getting a new one to find missing model aircraft parts lost in weeds, brush....now im anxious to try out some playgrounds, and fields

I got mine mostly for the wife (actually it's hers :tongue3:), but I use it mostly for finding hardware that I drop outside.

In any case, is a sweet starter machine. :icon_thumleft:

Haha that's the same detector I bought for my wife. She wants to use the Deleon now :)

New silver uMax in hand! And of course 12" snow due in tonite/tomorrow

You can always stare at it or take it to bed with you until the snow thaws if your wife does not mind. :laughing7:

I was caught by surprise....she said she had always wanted one....have a feeling another tesoro may be in new future

Got a Silver uMax on it's way to me as well. Should be here Friday. As I understand, we both made wise decisions.

...and I'm heading out to the post office in a few minutes to pick up....a Cutlass II μMAX - the "pre-Silver" with the round hole faceplate. (supposedly the same guts as the Silver μMAX, which replaced it) Won't get to play with it for a while; forecast is rain and snow here for the next five days. :(

I own a Metro Tech and a UMax Silver and they are sort like a horse and buggy and a Mazda Miata .....hahaha you will be shocked at the power

I found a 1940'solution wheat cent in the back yard last weekend with mine. No telling what you'll find even in your own yard!

Sadly I've not been out with mine yet...dealing pneumonia going on 3 weeks....but I'm rarin to go as soon as i can play again.

Not good. Get on a working antibiotic asap!

I had a double pneumonia about 15 years ago that might have killed me had I waited another week. I was 42 at the time. Was very sick for about 3 weeks too, before finding out it was a "walking pneumonia", and I was only getting worse. X-rays showed it in both lungs and really bad on one side. Ended up being perscribed something called Tequin, which I think was pulled from the US market a few years later. Not sure why it was pulled, but damned if it didn't work for me right away; was feeling better a day after starting on it.
Thought that episode may have messed up my lungs, but I started training for my first marathon (yes, really) a couple years later. Completed 3 marathons since having that pneumonia (but no, I'm not fast...). ^_^

I'm 51, soon to be 52 maybe...I've been avid cyclist, runner, hiker my entire life...NEVER have I had anything hit me like this has.

First day back to work since the 9th...getting out and walking a little has me lightheaded and sucking for air...thankfully i dont really do much here, and will be able to recover without any more time off.

Now if this rain will ever stop...will get out to do some digging!

I hope the pneumonia is wearing off now! Have you had time yet to go detecting?

Thank you for asking, very kind...

Just now starting to feel well, breathing still labored, luckily its flat around here.

Quite embarassed to say I have yet to dig the first plug with my new gadget.

Shiny new Silver uMax, Mars pinpointer, Whites pro headphones, knee pads, asst dig-em-up tools...ALL spotless! For Shame[emoji20]

I see the light though, between weather and health, things have to be looking up!

The best, and most surprising of all so far...my girlfriend said she has always wanted a metal detector, and someone to dig in the dirt with. She is as, or more excited to get out there and dig as I am.

Been having fun putting together a kit for her, as surprise, and thank you gift for all she has done for me this past month.

Just trying to decide on what detector to get her....thinking same as mine so we will learn together on same machines.
Then again, maybe one different to compliment the other???

Racking my brain more on one for her than my own!

Best wishes to all, and happy hunting.
