went to the spot that i thought was sabotaged a cpl weeks ago because the atpro was having a seizure in all 6 modes and I couldnt make it stop. So i took mr WHADIFIND's advice of changing frequencies and lemme tell ya it paid off!, I went over a good portion of the yard that i previously hit and managed some cool keepers!. I got 2 silvers (59 roosie, 45p war nickel) 15 wheats, and 3 buffs (1936x2 and 1938) also got the cool radio orphan annie secret society medal, the cubscout button, the cheap kids ring with the dolphins on it, and the parker lock, Im claiming a "trifecta of sorts" due to the 7 regular, 1 war, and 3 buffalo nickels, lol im aware its not a true trifecta but thats my story and im sticking to it lol!! the last pic was pretty neat to pull out of the ground, an engine ha! anyway thanks for looking and HH!! 130804_0015.webp3.webp130804_0019.webp130804_0020.webp130804_0021.webp130804_0022.webp130804_0023.webp

Yes I forgot to mention that this is the place I said that the finds we're starting to dry up lol. Just shows what a different technique along with sound advice advice can do for a site

I'm glad something worked for you. I've found that in high noise areas, a combination of frequencies and sensitivity can pay off very well.

Now, just go slow and see what turns up. You're on your way!

different areas of the yard required me switching from one frequency to the next, but hey I'm happy w the results

The orphan Annie medal rang in a solid 60, is that what you were asking about?

Yes, thank you

Don't forget to check your ground balance from time to time too. Especially after you change the frequency.

I rebalance each time I switch frequencies, and every so often like almost each pass is that overkill?

Not overkill, but maybe unnecessary. Does the ground change that much from spot to spot? If so, you might be balancing in an uncleared spot. Like over a nail or something. Try it over a hole you just cleared out and repacked. See if there's much diff.

HH!
