I had a very nice detecting afternoon yesterday: besides the very nice and sunny weather, I was lucky enough to find several silver coins from different ages.
The first one was a 1/2 groschen piece from Saxony-Coburg-Gotha dated 1858, followed by a 6 Kreuzer piece from the city of Frankfurt dated 1845.
For a long time then came nothing apart from some German copper pennies dated 1875-1919. The best finds were made a short time before I wanted to stop detecting:
a very nice medieval silver hammered penny dated about 1230 from Mainz and, as the highlight of the day, a large french hammerd coin ("gros tournois") from the reign of Philipp IV. (1285-1314AD).

Indeed, but one of the best points I think is the full readable Legends, its very unusual to be able to read EVERY letter on these types of coins :o
