Skill or Luck. Kevin Thinks Luck. LOL I Told Him SKILL!

Took my son-in-law, daughter, grandkids, and Kevin out on the boat today to two different boating beaches. My son-in-law has never dived. How hard can it be in 4' of water? I hooked him up with my CZ-21 with the 8" coil. Kevin used his CZ-21 with the 10.5 and so did I. I found a silver ring at the first beach. We all found a few coins. I got a quarter and a dime.

Headed to the second beach. That is where the skill (cough, cough) comes in. Both of them geared up and walked out to a little deeper water. I geared up and went down just passed the boat. First target a mid tone. I thought bullet. LOL not! Got a 8.27 gram 14K ring. I came up and told my daughter who was still in the boat with the kids. She couldn't believe it either. We had a good laugh and I went back to detecting. Got a few more coins.

The first picture is of my new son-in-law with two of my grandchildren. Kevin is in the boat. The other pictures are of my finds.












I found another interesting target also. It is a brass plaque for a Chris Craft boat. I will get a picture of that and post it also. It was a bell tone, one of my favorite.

Yes and that is why I took a picture of the top also. I thought that was completely strange. I also have never seen a ring like that.

I've found that a lot of hunters tend to give their machines all the credit when they find something wonderful. Especially, if they've just upgraded to a "better", (sic - more expensive), machine. I guess it serves a purpose, it gives them something to blame when they don't find.

But....there is something EVERY hunter brings with them something new and updated every single time they go out. Experience! We each learn a little more about our machines and conditions each time.

Ummm the ring with the fingerprint is a 14K gold ring worth 207.00 in scrap.
