Small Aluminum coffee/ tea pot

Saw it laying next to a bunch of fallen dead trees next to an old trail. Probably has been kicked and tossed many times before it got to this shape.Also don't forget the heavy snow too ??
Just cleaned the bottom a little so I could see what's written.

There was 7 piece set (5 pots and 2 lids) of these pots on Ebay, the one you found one is the smallest of the set, the auction has ended but here's a link that has photos.

But I am not sure if the handles of the ones that were sold were merely iron underneath and somehow coated or entirely aluminum.
Because the handle of the one I found is just iron and I could probably snap it with 2 fingers, or almost be able to.
And yes, mine is lightweight also. Thin walls.

I saw single pots for sale on Ebay and some other sites most if not all showed rust on the handles, the ones at the link I posted I don't think were hardly ever used, so whatever maybe coating the handles hasn't been worn off.

All i read was the Chicago company made them from 1930 to 1956.The " Compass " pots like this one.
But there were other affiliated companies in other states that made them same time period and some kept going after 1950s.

You know what? I think on top of Iron core most times they put zinc, right? Galvanized...
But in earlier decades they used to put Chromium ( chrome plating ) ??

The handles could very well be galvanized, but they are definitely not chrome plated, that being said it's possible they plated the handles with aluminum, they definitely look like aluminum in those photos.
Double click on the photo below and you can see the handles very well.

I'm not sure if you just looked at the one photo where the link opened to, but if you look there a link that you can click on that takes you to the original listing that has more photos and you can see the handles much better especially if you enlarge them.

Yes I saw them now. Frankly to me the pots seem more polished , their main bodies.
Seem to have had factory polishing / luster. It's still visible a little in mine too....

Don't mean to repeat the same things or sound too knowledgeable but I am thinking, if it is not zinc coating ( 420 Celsius in pure state )and not Chromium because it's temp is very high 1907 Celsius,
And in case it turns out it's not Aluminium ( 660 Celsius ), then couldn't the coating be Nickel ( 1455 Celsius).
Given That of Iron underneath is 1538 ?

First and foremost, I highly doubt it's galvanized/zinc since heating zinc puts out dangerous gases.

I also doubt it's nickel, too costly, also in the photos the handles definitely have an aluminum look to them.

I will let your belief count over my opinion because to be honest a few years ago I discovered i have difficulty discerning between certain hues of same or similar colors.
That's why am not good at pictures...
