Small mysterious item

I think it’s brass. Very small. About the size of my pinky finger nail. It has a weird design on one side. Any ideas? Thanks for looking.

I think it is an apothecary weight and the symbol menas one scruple.

Should weigh 1.2 to 1.5 grams if I remeber it right.

I´ll stick with apo. weight. According to wiki one scruple is 1.2959782 grams metric and the sign is almost the same as on all apo wheights googled picture search produces.

It shows significant wear on one edge. My first thought was 'roller bearing'. Although brass might not be the right material for a bearing...
