Hello,

I would like to show you this silver coin I found today.
The size is approx 11mm and the weight is about 0,5g.

On the front side I see some kind of a person (a knight?) looking down and holding a shield. If I'm right the eye of the person is visible too. On the bottom I see the person wearing trousers and a shoe.

On the rear side nothing is visible anymore. Maybe there wasn't even something...

Does anyone can give me a hint what coin this could be?

Thanks in advance

It takes a little imagination to see the figure, but I finally found it. At this point, I have no idea. It would be very helpful if you told us a story of what country it was found in, and if you dug the coin, and how deep was it. Good Luck !

Not an expert, but it looks like a Medieval German Pfennig of some sort to me. Interesting find!

It looks like Link from the Zelda video games. :laughing7:

Hello,

I found this coin during a short trip in Slovakia.
It was located in the forest on a hill. The depth was ~ 10cm (~ 4").
Nearby finds: A horseshoe and t-shaped nails.

Best regards :)

OK, that clears thing up.

Interesting coin find! :occasion14:

If the piece is in fact a coin, then I believe it would more than likely be a crude Celtic coin.
