Very nice!

I thought this was going to be a story similar to the time I had a spare 9 volt battery in the same pants pocket as my car keys. I almost started a fire in my pants. :laughing7:

:notworthy: Gorgeous! :notworthy: North Carolina has many precious & semi-precious gemstones! You'll find lots of info here, at other online sites, & from the North Carolina state geological society (or whatever it's called, lol). NC definitely has produced emeralds in big clusters also. Have Fun! Andi

I watch that Prospectors show on the Weather Channel and often enough they find Topaz near Smokey. I'm sure an expert will chime in here shortly so just consider my input a starting point.

Nice find!

LOL. Was driving down the road Saturday and had the same thing happen. Was trying to stay on the road and dig the battery out at the same time.
