I have a ton of auctions closing today with bids. Great. Except that sometimes people wait a day to pay. Big problem. We are expecting a lot of snow Monday night. My city shuts down when we get 2-4. We are expecting anywhere from 1-12" depending on where you look. (Most say 8-12").
Does Ebay take into account weather delays? I have one strike against me when a lady used a BIN, and asked me to wait 2 weeks. I forgot to call Ebay to let them know. They said it is too late to fix it.

Anyway. Excited about the snow. Nervous about my packages.

Shouldn't be an issue. We've been hammered with snow here in NH this year and all has gone well, knock on wood. The one big blizzard eBay made an announcement on, but we've many others 1-2 feet besides that one (actually just had one end Sunday that dropped almost a foot). Worst case, you can still print the label and that counts towards your handling time. Label is good for a few days, so if you print it the day of or following day of payment and mail it the day after that, there can be no reason for the buyer to complain -- still plenty fast... ebay is happy you had a fast handling time, USPS is happy the label was used in 3 days or less, everyone is happy :P

Thanks. I worried for nothing. 7 paid last night. Hubby dropped them off on his way home from dropping off the girls at school. Someone paid, and I sent hubby to the PO again to drop off. While he was gone, the last two paid! ARGH! Packed those up, and yes, he went back a third time as the snow started. So all my packages are gone. Let it snow! They upped our total to 12" now. I can't wait!
(Yeah, I know ... it's nothing for you. It's our first and only storm of the season. And it's been years since we had a really good snow.)

What is this "snow" you speak of? If we want to see white stuff, we go to the beach. :)

In the last two weeks I've had two sellers snowed in, one who totaled her car that had some of my purchased items in it and now can't find some of them, and one who blamed the shipping delay on Mardi Gras, lol.

We have had around 100" of snow in the past 3 weeks. One of the nearby post offices was shut down due to roof collapse. This winter is by far the worst I have ever seen.

just think how bad the weather would be without "global warming" ;)
