Hey guys,
Well, my vacation is coming to a close. I unfortunately struck out at the first two permissions I was looking to get this morning so it was back to the play field where I found 5 Wheaties yesterday. My brother and I have beat this place to death over the years, but some new sand was kicked up during some construction which resulted in a few new targets.
Here's a photo of the field and my brother working it:
I did manage a few more keepers today but nothing too special. In a couple hours of hunting I found 4 Wheaties and another King George VI Canadian penny.
Here they are:
The years on the wheats are 52 S, 53 D, 53 S 55 S. the Canadian penny is a 51. It really had me going because I found it in the vicinity of where I've found Indian Head Pennies before so I thought I scored myself another one. Oh well!
All in all, another nice summer day of hunting and nice to be digging in the sand instead of the dirt.
Happy hunting everyone!
