So how many bank accounts do YOU have?

For those of you that have accounts all over town, is it generally just savings accounts? Is there any kind of charge in regards to opening up these kinds of accounts? I ask because I have an account with just one bank, but would like to add more. Just don't want to waste money opening up accounts. Is it generally an easy process? I've had the same account since I was a young kid, so I really have no experience opening an account on my own. Sorry for all the questions, but any advice is appreciated.

Go in, say you want a new account, make sure there is no minimum balance or card swipes per month. Put 100 bucks (or whatever the minimum is) in the account, take it out the next day, your set to go my friend. Easy peasy

The whole process of opening an account blows tho, its at least a half hour ordeal where they talk to you about how there bank is the best, and they can get you car loans, personal loans, studied loans..... and try to get you to sign up for more crap you dont want. Then to top it all off they HAVE to set you up with stupid online banking, which you know you not going to use for a crh account.
