While I think that half dime was a Good save I was wondering how your research lead you to the conclusion that it was dropped by a soldier? I could see that being possible but could it have been dropped by a civilian or post war drop?

well the area was first occupied when they built the fort there, and then not again until about 1920, so chances are high enough for me to truly believe that, but we will never know for sure, also the olnly things ive found in this area older than 1900 were all civil war items, bullets, buttons, etc
