So,,,what do you drive and more important,,what's in your trunk?

Strange question right? And NO,, I am NOT "phishing" for anything.

Just curious as to what others,,,like me,,might be driving and what might be in your trunk, or cargo area.

Me, ?
I have a full bugout box,, prospecting stuff,,,metal detector,,straps n clevises. It changes every now and then, depending on whats going on.

Looking to seeing if I'm alone here,,, lol

I've got a Tahoe and there's normally a couple of Rubbermaid totes filled with tow straps, tie down straps, water, cordless screw gun and impact. Also a bunch of hand tools, my metal detector, shovels, gloves, a thick Carhartt jacket. Then I've usually got my old beat up canoe on top. Oh yeah my best buddy and lil baby girl Jada. Well she's riding shotgun but I can't leave her out 8-)

XJ for the deep woods cellar holes!

Good choices fellas. I had a 1980 CJ7 with a V8 and 44" tires. Then I bought an 03 Rubicon at one point. Loved that thing. Can't beat a Jeep for the hard to get to spots......or a Unimog 8-)

Just in case I find that pirate's treasure chest! Lol!

I drive a 1994 Chevy K5 Blazer 4X4 and a 2002 Chevy S10 pick-up.

If I told you what was in the trunk, I'd have to kill you.

I drive a Mazda MPV, I carry 2 metal detectors (primary and back-up/loaner), 2 pin pointers, 2 shovels, 1 lesche digging tool, a rain suit, a poncho. spare batteries (enough to replace all both 9v and AA), a cooler for bottled water, a 5 gallon bucket for the trash I dig, 4 to 5 pairs of digging gloves, 2 hand towels (for digging plugs on private property), 8 tennis balls (to help me stay in line when detecting fields with short grass), 6 edge markers (4 ft tall for areas with tall grass, I use these when the grass is too tall for tennis balls). 2 Camel packs, 1 set of Army LBE (that holds my relic pouch, my home made shovel hook, a magnifying glass, pinpointer and Lesche holsters), 3 long shaft screwdrivers (used as probes), a bag full of plastic grocery bags (I use these when I get to a littered area), a roll of electrical tape, 1 roll of plastic wrap, a first aid kit, 2 pairs of knee pads.

You'd never know that I was a boy scout "be prepared"

I'd rather have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it.

Forgot the 2 pairs of headphones (1 pair black widow and a cheaper set for the loaner).

Here's my ride.

2004 Acura MDX. 3 rows of seats, for the whole family. AWD for less than pretty roads.
Fisher M66 as my trunk detector. Its built tough to withstand wide temps and weather.
Stainless steel shovel, headphones, knee pads, Foreign Legion hat, spare batteries.
Tools, Fix-A-Flat, blanket, cables, emergency starter battery.
I keep the Fisher for when opportunity knocks. When I head out detecting, the other detectors and equipment go with me.

Rebuilt 1994 Ram 2500 used to be regular cab long bed last year with 410,000 miles on the old diesel
Summer:

2010 Wrangler 23,000 miles and garaged every winter, all winter

Usually don't carry much, as I don't want my gear stolen...

Sent from a empty soda can!

2002 Ford Explorer XLS...detector & digging tools in cargo area, along with back pack, first-aid kit, a few basic tools, camera, fishing gear, couple gallons of water, & handgun in case with ammo (yeah, it's registered) :tongue3:

I drive a GMC Sonoma also known as a S-10. Its 2wd, goes most places a full size truck cant. Only been stuck once, very easy to get out. Would be better if it were 4wd. I have a tool box on the back, and two back packs and a water belt I keep for different hunts. I have a topper that I switch for the tool box every so often. I run a gps and bring more cameras than detectors.

I roll down the street in a big Cadillac... I got girls in the front and girls in the back... and way in the back I got $$$ in a sack.....
