Right after dinner I headed out to the local middle school soccer field for a 90 minute hunt. I've hunted the field many times in the past and though I've never dug any silver here, this field DID give me my only gold coin find a few years ago. I wasn't expecting gold or silver but in the 90 minutes I hunted I did manage 28 coins worth $2.62 including a 1952-D wheat cent. Rain is predicted for the weekend again so at least I was able to get out for awhile.

Thanks, VPN...…….haven't been bringing the camera because I've been hunting the same old places a lot.:dontknow:

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Was that the Native American gold coin? I remember that find. Nice going!

If there are wheaties present, then there must be some silvers somewhere. I spent a couple of hours in a soccer field myself yesterday. First time I've hunted it. Pulled about $6.oo in clad, and a 1939- D Washington quarter. Most all the clad was from the 1990's-2000's. The silver quarter was a nice surprise.

Sounds like as fun hunt. Thanks for sharing:thumbsup:

Yes, it was......you have a good memory.

Silver is always a nice surprise nowadays...….as for the cliché about Wheaties and silver, I think it should be the other way around....where there's silver there might be some wheats, but that's just me.

Sounds like as fun hunt. Thanks for sharing:thumbsup:
Thank You.....it was a fun hunt for sure.
