Solar storm inbound!

Nothing about this on the local or national news that I've noticed and I just sort of stumbled upon it. According to several sources who monitor such things, it appears we might be in for a substantial storm today and tomorrow. My Direct TV satellite has been acting crazy for the last couple of hours and it's not currently storming. I would think this might also affect metal detecting by creating significant EMI...correct? Just passing this along.

These things are pretty unpredictable from what I've seen, but I'll keep an eye on the sky for the aurora.
