Dug this in a field next to a 1734 colonial.The front door opens up it says U.S on front made of brass. thanks gary. I was just looking at the rest of my finds and found this dial,this is got to be part of this post office door,does anyone know age of this.

Post office box door for sure. Have a few hundred I took off of the cabinets from an old post office here (3 different sizes/styles). I made elaborate wooden boxes and attached the doors (the hard part was figuring out the combinations!!).
