My one and only short hunt this year. I found my first silver shoe buckle fragment. Damn I wish this relic was complete. I’ve got piles of shoe buckles and have never even sniffed a fragment until this hunt. Maybe next time.

The unknown item appears to be a splicing sleeve for electrical wire. It looks like it has crimps from a crimping tool on the sides.

Yes Abe silver shoe buckles are a rare find indeed..Hope you get back out as I should soon also..I have an old friend that just gave me 3 more detectors for free a Whites DFX,regular whites and a minelab excaliber diving detector!
