I am speechless! $42 at Salvation Army! Solid Sterling with six Sterling saucers and Lenox cups with Sterling bases. One porcelain cup is missing. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1443284459.172855.webp

Coffee or tea, the sterling is just as sweet.

That's awesome!!!! I want it!! Congrats! How much does it weigh? Although I'm sure it's worth way over melt. I'd throw up! (I get too over excited on that stuff) did the cashier question it? I guess not! Hech if a score!

Man you've been knocking it out of the park with your silver finds!

Yes I have been. Let's hope it lasts! My wife thinks I need an intervention.

If you do, that set would pay for it, along with a good bit of therapy. Gotta be worth close to a grand.

I was holding my breath checking out! Thanks

Wow...congrats. That is a really nice looking set. Think there is any chance to replace the missing cup?

Thanks, yes the cups are on eBay. Already watching a few.

WOW! Great find! Congrats!

The only way to invest in silver imo. Way cheaper then bullion.

I can't believe folks still find rarities in rolls of coins. I guess I need to try it sometime. I have the time to look when I'm on the road sitting there flipping channels in a motel room. The last pre 64 quarter I got in change was a long time ago now. It was at a happy hour in Phoenix bar and I herd the sound as the barmaid dropped the change back on the bar. The other comrades I was with I had to explain to why that quarter was special. They had no clue dimes and quarters were once all silver.

I would not waste my time looking at anything but halves and with halves I would not bother ordering boxes. Just ask banks for rolls and loose ones. Once in a while you will get lucky.

While I love CRH, if you do the math you are probably better off collecting cans for recycling.

Great find Jm..congrats!. I think the Salvation Army is one of my best thrift stores to find those hidden treasures....

great find....in our area all the employees dont even let that stuff hit the shelves they take it for themselves....i hate it...but great finds!

Holy guacamole!! That's a hell of a find!! Definitely worth more than scrap. Way to many people melt stuff like this. What's the time period for the set? Congrats!!

Awesome find!!! I have been thrift storing and fleamarketing forever and have yet to find a sterling tea/coffee pot. Its my unicorn.

I think the pot is from turn-of-the-century and the rest probably 20s. The monograms on the pot and saucers don't match so it is an assembled set.
