Solo Water Hunt...Silver Chain with Medallion.

Got in a 6 hour water hunt today...calm water with quite a few targets to keep me busy...I asked a guy with a watch on what time it was...he gave me the time and I said thanks, Ive got to go...I only had 15 minutes left on my parking pass...I turned and took 3 steps toward the beach and got a loud target...after 3 or 4 scoops I thought the target was going trough my scoop and could be a chain...I took another scoop and brought it up real quick and the chain was draped over my scoop...19.5 grams, 28 inches long with a small religious medallion on it...I don't know what it is...they are both marked .925...Ill put up some more pics after I clean it...good luck to everyone.

Nice find. Looks like a Saint Benedict pendant. I found one recently myself and looked it up to find out. Looks like the same type. Congrats!

Majority of finds came from knee to waist deep...very few targets deeper than waist deep this day...target line depths move with the tides and where it keeps the people.

That thing is crude and heavy...about the size of a golf ball...some kid is probably walking around with a crooked neck from wearing it.

Thanks for the info...I looked it up and that's what it is...some cool history on the St Benedicts medal...used in exorcisms of satan.
