Solved! Reed valve from Bulb Horn

I found one of these a couple weeks back, just the valve itself.
Dug a more intact one the other day.
as shown, it threads into the necked down brass tube, which has a coarse threading inside the necked area for attachment to another piece.
Anyone seen these before?

I think it is a reed from an old bicycle (bulb-type) horn

I can see the similarities here.
I also recall seeing a cracked rubber bulb somewhere in my digs recently, though I can't recall exactly where....
I'll try a patent search for a diagram. Thanks
