My buddy and I went to a site of a battle in the war of 1812
We dug up many things from the last two centuries
some grape shots musket balls and small arms fire and I dug two buttons
1 41st reg British button and 1 Royal Artillery button.
Both regiments took part in the battle that took place in these woods over 193 years ago.
I also found three shillings and 1 lg penny.
my buddy also found a piece of a tomahawk.
its great to be able to detect this time of year in the woods, with no Bugs and no leaves and brushes.

I live near toronto
and as far as the 1800s silver goes, two years prior I was detecting here with my 13 year old son and I found a 1816 shilling on the same path I dug the three silvers.
they were 80 feet further down the path.
I think they were all lost at the same time and I was destined to have them all together again.
