Dirt Fished 2 spots today... One park along the Schulkyll River in Upper Providence Township close to where I live, and the 2nd Spot was a Sale lot near my folks house in Southampton, PA. Up near the river yiellded $.76 in clad along with your usual variety of bottle caps, cans, etc... 1 neat relic was a Zebco fishing reel shredded by a tractor. the scenery was great, and had many curious people asking me if I found anything. an Older couple really thought it was a cool thing and I think I turned the husband on to a new Hobby. Of the clad I found, it was all late 60's early 70's vintage.

Drove down to my folks house where I usually spend the weekends helping them out and have noticed this one lot was for sale that had a house bulldozed to the ground. Been for sale now going on 2 years and is on the oldest street in the town. Got over there around 6:15 PM and swung till about 7:30. Mostly I was finding alot of pieces of aluminum, Im guessing from the siding. Only managed to find 5 pennies in one hole amongst the trash, all late 60's pennies.. I got a faint hit at 6", decided to give it a dig and to my surprise found a 1939 Merc. Stuck around a little longer, and just kept finding more trash.

Anyday ya manage to find silver is a great day in my opinion! ;D

Congrats, I never get tired of finding Mercury dimes. I've never found more than one in a day but the day is coming when I will finally find two or more.

right across the bridge from spring city
i have never seen anyone MDing besides at the NJ beach though. i just recently got my Delta 4000 but havent been out much because of school and work. and then when i was starting to get into it, i broke my brand new lesche shovel which wasnt cheap, so that kind of put me off for a little bit, and still havent replaced it. ive only tried in my backyard so far though. i know there has to be stuff here, my house is from at least the 1840s
