While organizing I thought I would post some finds.
Many of you have likely seen most of these while some Mabey haven't. All personal finds from Florida.
Mano and matate found touching eachother grown into the rootball of a palm tree knocked down by a hurricane.

Some tools all from one site showing a range of material sources.

Some bone artifacts and a few beads and earplugs. With a clay plummet and drilled shark teeth.

Some of my better points mixed with a few brokes that have some meaning because of how they were found and where.

A couple bone handles.

Thanks for taking a peek. Good luck with your hunting.

Great looking pieces GB. I really like the drilled Sharks Teeth. I have a buddy that found one here on a Ft Ancient site. That one traveled a long way to get to southern Ohio. lol

Very nice, Gator. Always enjoy seeing your finds. No shell artifacts in this post? Thanks for the view of some cool Florida artifacts.

Thanks...and I figured I would save the shell since some figure that's all I get. Best of luck..both of you!

Nice looking artifacts Gator! I see you finally got a frame to put them in. :icon_thumleft: Very Nice!

super stuff there GB. We get the exact same stuff here, with columbias and sarasotas thrown in where the duvals are at. Shark's teeth here only a few drilled most are grooved at the gumline/enamel is, using like a wrapped pendant. Woodland there very much similar to over here.

Those here too... thanks for stopping by Tom. And..thanks.

Got some more frames today. That's what started my "big mess" today..ha.. it sure is easier to take everything out than it is to put back. Thanks.

Sounds like you may have a difficult time leaving them in the display case. You know, if you leave them in their case you might, just might, have better luck when you go back out. Haha! what do you think?

Now, we want you to get out this week and find those new unseen artifacts. :icon_thumleft:

Nice collection of artifacts you got there. Those drilled shark teeth are awesome. But I have to say your shell pieces are definitely my favorite. Post some pics of your shell collection.

Here is a couple I'm sure I will post more at some point..thanks.
Everyone likes those shark teeth.

These are whelk shell cup/dippers some of these were used in what is called a "black drink" ceremony. A brewed highly caffeinated plant was used for this..before a hunt among other occasions.

This is an odd find that doesn't fit the normal method of manufacture for a tool of this type locally.

that appears to have served as a small hatchet type tool.

These are a couple close up photos of the one dipper that for the life of me appears to be tea stained from the drink itself. Even shows a buildup where the lips would have been and dark stained and polished where a thumb would have rested and got wet with drink.
