My friend Dave and I Went out today to a street from the 1700's that is being repaved. Unfortunately it was still open to traffic so detecting it was a little tough, but we stayed out of the way and didn't get hit. Within 2 minutes I dug this old copper/brass thing

I'm not exactly sure what it is but it's definitely old. After that we dug some modern coins which really confused us, so we decided to head over to a construction site right down the road. The workers dug up some hand blown bottles and a clay pipe out of there, and there were old pottery shards all over the ground. Lots of signals, but after a few minutes Dave popped out a Coronet head large cent but the date was toast. Then he got a pocket watch, and a few minutes after I dug this nice little silver ring!

That's my first ring that I get to keep, last time I dug one the homeowner took it :(
We got some other stuff, nothing great, but it was a good (unexpected) hunt overall. Anyone recognize this maker's mark on the ring?

Sorry for the low quality, it was taken on my phone.
Thanks!

Good hunt Clint. Sounds like you guys were on the right track. Maybe someone will recognize the markings for you. Good luck and thanks for sharing.

Sweet for u !!
Congrats

Nice ring look to be sterling silver with a turquoise stone think you'll get back there before they pave

Nice finds for sure!
Road and sidewalk tear outs are awesome! They decided to pave my sidewalk before I could get back! Darn it!

Sounds like a fun day of detecting, and the ring is really pretty!
