Had a decent day on sunday with Mom back at our sugar hole of a field. Dug a bunch buttons, some large some small mostly colonial. Dont know how the Wannamakers one got in there :tongue3: Found a Silver navy award pin that is interesting also. The small suspender clip? I think is really cool to. Has a crown on it. Dunno if it is war related or not but looks good. Went out this afternoon with my buddy Arty and hit an old mill we have been to a couple times. Squeaked out 2 more buttons and an interesting collar stud?It looks like pearl on the face. Also found an 1865 indian laying on the surface of the ground ??? Mom got a worn Irish half penny also. Arty ended up with a flat button. Dont worry Arty well find that tavern eventually! Thanks for looking :icon_thumright:

Not sure, but I thought these were a type of cufflink, similar to below, probably late 19th C

Thanks for the ID thats def. it. There is such a span of history on this field. It had to have been used since the mid 1700's til about 1940. Unfortunately the farmer is letting the field sit this year and wont be plowing. Once he plows again It may be a whole new field! Hopefully if and when he does plow all the colonial coins will turn up from the depths. Over 100 buttons and only 6 coins. They have to be down there somewhere :tongue3:

Great bunch of recoveries there!!! Congrats :icon_thumright:
