I went to a artifact show Saturday. The prices were so cheap I couldnt resist. I picked up a few some from TN and some from Missouri.
I got a variety of items just so I could study them from other states. Hope you like them, rock

What show was it Rock? Good snags. Last show I went to they were not selling just showing and buying. Looks like you came home with some nice pieces. The joy of collecting sir.

It was the Peach State Archy Society. They go all over the state, some sell and some just show their collections. I took some pics of the nice stuff I saw.

Does the white one look like a Adze?

Is the top one from TN? I find alot of that here (in TN).

The 2 white ones are from M, the point and the Adze. The first one was in a box of asst. items the seller buys collections from all over the USA. But most of his collection this yr was from TX. I didnt buy any of those from TX.

Can you tell us about the axe? Is it a type of guilford or a grooved axe with some ancient modification? Cool stuff!! The axe is the most intriguing.

pretty cool mr rock
the white one is my fav........it looks like it was a very useful tool

White one yes an adze in my humble opinion

Its 4 inches long by 2 inches wide. It was found by a man that collects on his own fields in Tn. He had a nice collection and had quite a few of heads and Celts. I bought this piece cause I have never found one before and I wanted to see how it was made. It was only $3.00 it has a little bit of damage on the other side from a plow. I would of paid $10 for it but he said only $3 so I bought it. I bought the brown point from him also. Everything he had was nice and all personal finds. The ax is full groove and made from a cobble stone. The end has a curve to it which I found really cool.

Nice piece!! I can't imagine selling an axe, found by me, for $3.00. Wow! He must have one heck of a collection. In no way does the axe look fake either. That's not what I am insinuating, when mentioning the low price. Just hard to believe that the prices are that low.

Yeah it was just to good to pass up. The other ones that were perfect were only $20-$40 each but I am hoping to find my own one day. I just wanted to see how it was made. Its hard to believe I got all of these for only $18 everything posted in this thread. I would of bought more but I felt these were plenty.

Did he say where in tn?

No but there were more hunters there he knew so I would guess the southern side close to GA. I am only .45 mins from the state line. Where are you located at?
