Had 90 minutes to look around today, and came across some neat finds. First, I found what looks to be a handle for a gardening tool from the early 1900's. Then another handle maybe for dinnerware? I need some help on that one.

Next, I found a really interesting snake. It rang up as copper and it was pretty deep. Any insight as to what this thing is? I have no idea..

Last, I found a nice old button, with the shank still in tact. The front appears to be a standard flat, but the back has a nice design + the word "London" across the top. I know that there are experts who will help me date this bad boy. :)

Finally, I scored an 1862 Indian head penny. It's really worn, but after a little soap and water, and a magnifying glass, I was able to spot the date. :)

Hope you're all enjoying the nice weather!

The second handle looks to me like some we had growing up on steak knives. No idea about the snake, but pretty cool piece.

I can agree that the other handle looks like a fillet knife.

Super variety of finds!:notworthy: I have no idea what the snake was for originally, but I think it would now make a cool key ring. :laughing7: :icon_thumright: Andi

Awesome button!, I bet that snake is military related in some way

Very cool! This is definitely a snake buckle. Thanks guys! I'll do some research to see if I can find a match online. This one is unique vs. many others that I saw, as the snakes mouth is open. I'll keep you posted.

If anyone can date the button, I'd love to know!

Kevin

Cool Finds. Snake looks to me like a handle for the side of a bowl that came off.
