Some kind of bell?? Old belt buckle?? Old foundation finds.

Really old foundation 1700's or 1800's. Any help on what kind of bell would be awesome! Thanks!! Nice bell for the shelf!!

Probably a livestock bell, similar to a crotal bell. Real nice find.

it looks like an old school hand bell to me, which has had the wooden handle rot away over the years.

Yep, Terry knows what kind of bells sheep wear!!

We generically call them Carriage Bells. They went on horses to warn of there presence so the peasants could get out of the way!
