Thanks for viewing the image. Got some more shoe hardware, fired round balls, and a pontil mark from a bottle (upper right), but also more brass buttons. Finally one had a makers mark that was readable as follows EXTRA RICH RR with a shank and gold leaf
. Someone researched this for me and said it stood for Richard Robinson and Co. Attleborough, Mass. and manufactured 1821-1825. That is ancient for around here and likely an early cabin was visited by some cw soldiers. Hoping for more. best,
