Love the crotal bell bud. Cousin Ed pulled a nice one. What year is that? The "spearhead" looks much fatter than most I've seen but I'm certainly no expert, or intermediate, or novice :-) so basically I don't have a clue bro. Hope it is as that would be a really neat find. I've thought about checking a couple of sites for spear and arrow points. I'd love to just have a couple to display. You back to work?

AWESOME COINS!!!

Ya know you may want to haul every day bro. Including Saturday and Sunday :-) I'm gonna be getting super busy here and prob only getting a day at best each week. I will make it a Looooong day though. Gonna try to get out to an island this weekend. High hopes for one. 1679-1688 had 60 people and a fort. It was a temporary settlement after native attacks and before they were granted a village on the main land. Prob find lures and beer cans :-)

Yeah I know man. I found that shoe buckle in the most random place with no home sites around. I was just randomly swinging looking for a foundation by a river. Lots of history on the river but never did I dream that would come out of the hole. Strange how it works sometimes buddy

The 'SD' is a counterstamped blank halfpenny. One of the most elaborate I have seen. These are the initials of a pub or shop owner (many other options), many are unresarched & unknown.

ty Crusader for the ID.

That is a cool find then....... I kinda figured that it was something along them lines.

ty Bryan

The mayflower coin is in great shape.....big difference in the condition of coins on land as compared to the salt shores.

Where in NS are you ?

That SD counterstamp is a beauty! Like Crusader, I've never seen such an elaborate counterstamp! That one may actually be listed somewhere so you may be able to ID it! Nice find!

The spear head is just a geofact...a natural rock. I'm an avid hunter and collector of native artifacts and that piece shows no signs of being worked by man.

Hey buddy your counterstamp is a merchant mark and is on the exonumia site. Don't have time for more research but that should give you a start. Good luck and have a good day

Super cool find btw ! I love counterstamps

Killer finds AQUA!1 I love the counter stamped coin.

Nice pile of coins there guys, but my favorite is that counterstamped copper. That's a very cool looking and unique piece. Maybe with some research and a little luck you can figure out what the "SD" represents. Nice hunt!

@Ahab8,,,,,It's close but I would expect to see a S+D not a S&D, with counterstamps every symbol & dot counts including the outer shape.

excellent coins. the one with the heavy counter stamp is bad-a$$. personally, I think the point is natural
