These are some of my 1996-1997 finds. All are surface finds. I found them in various areas near where I live. I hope the pictures show up ok. I am not good at using my photo program.
Very nice Pepper!!
Hope to see more soon
Jeff

Thank, everyone. I love looking for points almost as much as MD'ing! Do you know by using a long metal cattle prod I learn to tell the difference between striking a rock and striking flint! The tone is is different. I use the cattle prod to poke\flip at anything that looks as if it may be a point. Saves my back from bending over a 1000 times.....lol

Mrs. Pepper, good point. That's a new one on me. Thanks, RuffandTuff.

Nice points Pepper! Looks like you have a great collection going there gal, thanks for sharing them with us.

Nice collection Pepper! I see a Hernando, some Bolens,Savannah River,Pickwicks,Kirks.Nice artifacts from the deep south.

Thanks, I've got somemore that are in zip lock bags cause I don't have anything to frame them in. I'll round them up soon and take a picture of them. Hilly Billy, thanks for the ID's. There is just something about finding a point that is awesome.
So many questions run through my mind, such as....Who made it.... a chief, warrior, .....was it used to kill food....enemy...
how old is it.....

Very nice ! I wish we had such a variety of different matierials here in NY.Most around here are made of flint.Hope you find many more in 2008. ;D

Great collection you have there, Pepper. I love looking for em too, I use a little rake like thingie on a long handle to poke at what may be a point, turns out to be a oak leaf. Sure save the back from unnecessary bending over. Would love to see the others...get some Riker cases & get em displayed.

;) RR

good stuff pepper i use a old golf club shaft with a fork on the end. ;)

Hadn't thought about the rake. Good idea. I'll get some more posted soon. I've been so busy MD'ing I haven't thought much about my points. :D

Hey Pepper, looks like you're near my area! I'm in Thomas county. Your collection looks like some of the same stuff I've got. What county are you in?
