I'm feeling a road trip coming on :laughing7:

Another place I've always wanted to hunt is the black opal mine in Nevada.

But I'm game for crystals, gems, agates...rock and roll!

And by the way...I have a crystal identical to the one in your photo! I wish I had time to take a pic of it, but will do so soon!

Whoa...I noticed that the Peacock charges 180 bucks a day...plus we have to bring our own tools.

At least I have camping gear.

Hmm-mm-mm...I wonder if anyone on t-net has been to Peacock? Would be interesting to get some honest feedback and input.

Cheers!

Mamabear,
When I left the Crater of Diamond State Park I went to one of the big crystal sites. It was dark and the gate was locked. Too bad.
I don't remember where I got this chunk of quartz, but it is a little cloudy. (See pic below.)

Don't they say "diamonds are a girl's best friend"? The next pic are rough diamonds in my friends hand. He made me promise not to give out details. THAT will be a special hunt. They are not from the Crater.

I'm planning road trips all the time. (Let's see now.... Vibes, Mamabear, ... who else should I put on the list?)

When it cools down a little I'm off to SD for the agates. Wanna come?

those are diamonds? wow the colors! I went to the crater too, but walked away w/ mud only.
thats a nice chunk of quartz. the mine I go to is Ron Colemans. I know some people don't like it, but I get big clear crystals every time. I would love to go to SD but I am looking for work so I will have to see. If I get the job I want, I will have time.
here are a few of my goodies, the fish is from Kemerrer, Wyo

Mamabear,

I see a couple of wormshells there. I found a nice one at the beach in Naples, FL by stepping on it. I was walking in the surf and it got caught between my toes. Florida is nice if you don't mind flat. But, I suppose, you don't have to worry about too many brake jobs. Good luck on the job prospect.

Those are diamonds, but not from AR.
