Some of our finds this year.

This year was a little slow when it comes to gold coins, between the 10 of us we only managed around 8 gold sovereigns all dating in the 1800's. ZodiaDiverDwayne got the best one, came up in a clump and in my opinion is best displayed in the clump.

We are excited about the way our Harbour Scrubbing has started this season. We have only 3 days of diving done so far and have come up with some very nice finds. ZodiacDiverDana brought up a beautiful crystal water jug with the White Star Line flag on it.

We have also found a Brass and a wooden pulley sheave both with the Broad Arrow stamped on them. And 1 free blown black glass bottle (late 19th cent.), a ton of pipe bowls with one complete. I managed to find a early 19th cent. half penny (King George), it's well worn but to eye ball a coin in 5-10 ft of vis on a muddy bottom is pretty darn lucky.

I will try and get some pix of the gold coins as a group later when we have our annual artifacts day.

BTW, I think we'd like to see a pic or two of you guys. There's lots of pictures of us, none of you guys. Oh, finished "Standing Into Danger"... what a horror story. You have to be pretty tough to live there, I think.

I wish I could lay claim to some of the gold but I think only 4 of the guys found gold this season with some being more luckier then others. I can tell you it wasn't for lack of trying, I spent a lot of time on the bottom with little to show for it. But hell, it's all about the adventure and having some fun.
Yes the USS Pollux and USS Truxtun is a piece of United States navel history that should not be forgotten. Here is a good video clip about the disaster. Sadly Lanier Phillips passed away recently but he will not soon be forgotten.
